Lesson Outline
How to open Microsoft Office Word 2013 using Windows 10?
- Click on Start menu
- Click “All Apps”
- Scroll down to locate the Microsoft Office 2013 folder
- Click “Microsoft Office 2013”
- Scroll down if necessary
- Click “Word 2013”
How to create a document in Word 2013?
- Open Word 2013
- Click “File” tab
- Click “New”
- Click the “Blank Document” template
Practice : Use the Start Menu to open Microsoft Word 2013
• Use the scroll bar to navigate in the Start Menu
• Open Word 2013
• Create a new document
• Click the arrow next to Microsoft Office 2013 to open the folder.
• Write down three (3) programs listed under the Microsoft Office 2013 folder.
• Analyze the Application window: name of application, Recent folder, etc…
• Get familiar with the templates provided by Microsoft by using the scroll bar.
• Identify the Title bar and write down the name of the open document.
• Locate the Quick Access Toolbar.
• Click the file menu/tab and identify the shown commands.
• Click on each tab to display the ribbons, the groups and the commands. The tabs are Home, Insert, etc.
